A cozy makeover for Judi

Judi a busy realtor, Wife, Mom of two boys and Lucy the Doodle, Dreamed of a "cozy" and inviting home where friends and family could gather and feel welcome. Judi describes herself as an old soul and somewhat old fashioned, a throwback to a different era who loves color, pattern and feminine details. Our only constraints were that we needed to use the existing Dining room furniture, sofa and bookcases pictured here and that the spaces be family and doodle friendly. I suggested adding layers, lots of textile, texture, rugs, along with, lamps, wallpaper and art The original goal expanded as they often do, with the need for window treatments. They would need to be not only lovely and warm to look at, but offer privacy, while allowing for as much light as possible.
Here we added painted wood shutters for privacy and bespoke, Drapery, and shaped-upholstered cornices in colorful patterns to achieve the overall "charming" effect.
