Colonial style meets Mid Century modern, in Valatie NY

When Mari and Dan first reached out to me she mentioned the'd like to get as much done before moving day. They were moving iform a much smaller home and into a colonial so we'd have to come up with a plan. Upon the first step into their home i was taken aback by their love of color and plants. One of the priorities was finding a home for all of their plants, the other, Art! They were collectors and each piece held a special meaning. First up deciding on what they could re use from their current home and where we would need to start fresh. Next a tour of the new home and discussion on all that would need to change, including wall to wall carpet in the dining and living areas. We also decided to add crown mouldings throughout, Turned out Dan was very handy and did quite a bit of the work himself. Mari almost immediatley fell in love with tropical teal floral fabric i suggested and we built around that. Teal it would be!
